100 Men of Kawartha Lakes

$10,000 cheque presentation to Lindsay Agricultural Society
Congratulations to the Lindsay Agriculture Society our June 2025 Charity of Choice!

On June 5th at the Fenelon Falls Legion the 100 Men of Kawartha Lakes met for the 2nd of 4 meetings for 2025.

Jack Veitch of the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge branch) was on hand to share how our March donation has affected the lives of locals who needed their help.
The 3 charities who’s named are picked randomly from our pool of qualified local charities were:
  • Lindsay Little Theatre
  • Lindsay Agriculture Society
  • Kinsmen Club of Lindsay
A vote was taken and it was unanimously decided that our donations get split $2500 to our runners up and $10,000 plus to the top vote getter!
The top vote getter was Lindsay Agriculture Society and they will use the monies to create a special booth at their events for ALL local registered charities to use to promote what they do and fund raise!
Lance Natchoff, their Speaker and GM said he expects our donation to generate over $100,000 in advertising, promotions and donation for local charities!
We had several new members join and our numbers are climbing up over 170 again!

Who Are the 100 Men?

The 100 Men are simply a mix of big-hearted guys connected by their love of the community. They like the idea of their money being matched by others to make a bigger impact. They like simple and effortless, not to mention hanging out for one hour every three months with some great guys that live in Kawartha Lakes.

Is 100 Men of Kawartha Lakes for you?

Whether you’re a business person, elected official, working for a company or retired, if the above sounds like you, we’d love for you to join us!

And yes, we know, it’s only men. It was actually the women that started their own 100 Women that Care group and told us men to start our own…so we did!

How it Works

As a member, you commit to donating $102 per meeting, with 4 meetings held annually on the first Thursday of March, June, September, and December—each lasting just 1 hour. If you’re unable to attend, no worries—you can still participate by submitting a proxy vote!
Many members love that they can be part of the group’s collective giving, even if they can’t attend every meeting.

We’ve partnered with the Kawartha Lakes Community Foundation to manage donations, making tax receipt distribution easier for our charities. Members can donate conveniently via e-transfer, credit card, cheque, or cash—and you can even donate for the entire year at once!

Each member can nominate a local registered Kawartha Lakes charity for consideration. Before each meeting, three charities will be randomly selected to make a 5-minute presentation to the group.
Afterward, members will vote for one of the three. The charity with the most votes will receive the bulk of our donations.

Exciting update: When we have more than 150 members, the primary charity receives $10,000 while the other two charities will receive $2,500 each.

Our membership is unlimited, and we’re thrilled to have over 160 members and counting!
